Spider-Man: Miles Morales Infected By Venom Symbiote In Cool Fan Art

Cool new fan art has emerged showing Miles Morales from the PS5's upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales standalone spin-off infected by the Venom symbiote. The alien lifeform was briefly teased in the original Marvel’s Spider-Man game - and even hinted at by developers after that.

At the very end of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Harry Osborn is revealed to be infected by the symbiote, which led to fan theories that Norman’s son might become the Venom in the anticipated Spider-Man 2 game instead of the traditional choice of Eddie Brock. Before that, however, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is releasing this November. Since the spin-off picks up where the story of the previous entry concluded, the symbiote could very well play a role in the game. On top of that, debunked April leak suggested that Spider-Man 2 could actually be focused on the Venom problem; while ultimately proven fake, the player interest the rumor generated was very real.

While few specific details are known about Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ narrative, digital artist Mohammed Hibban decided to imagine what Miles could look like in the game if he got infected by the symbiote. The designer shared his exciting vision on Instagram adding that Insomniac could’ve ended the upcoming video game with a cliffhanger leaving Miles venomized in the finale. Judging by the excited comments, the community seems to like the idea. On top of that, it’s no coincidence that symbiotes’ existence was revealed in Marvel’s Spider-Man, and this topic should definitely see development in future installments of the series.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was announced back in June at Sony’s PS5 reveal event as a standalone adventure continuing the story of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Strictly speaking, it’s not a legit sequel but rather a separate story expansion - or a spin-off setting the mood for the actual Spider-Man 2 entry, which will likely continue exploring the life of Peter Parker. In that regard, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is expected to be smaller in both scale and narrative, with Morales protecting Harlem against a group of new villains.

While the shared fan art is nothing more than a fantasy, it could very well end up being true considering that in comic books, Miles indeed got briefly transformed into a six-armed abomination by the symbiote. Since Insomniac is mainly staying true to the original source, Spider-Man: Miles Morales might eventually feature a part of this story arc given that the presence of the alien lifeform in the studio’s comic universe has already been confirmed.
