Genshin Impact's Golden Apple Archipelago Murals Explained

Version 1.6 of Genshin Impact features a large new portion of the map called the Golden Apple Archipelago. There are several small islands that make up this archipelago, and each one has its own quirks and landmarks to discover. There are also murals that players can discover as part of a side quest called "The Other Side of Isle and Sea." Here's everything to know about the mural locations in the Golden Apple Archipelago.

To start the quest in Genshin Impact, players will need to find a mural on their own. Upon discovering the first one, "The Other Side of Isle and Sea" will begin. This can be an important part of finding secrets on the Golden Apple Archipelago, so it's definitely worth the time and effort. There are a total of five murals to find scattered across the islands, but some are definitely harder to spot than others.

The Midsummer Island Adventure content marks the first step toward reaching the new Inazuma region on the map, but there's still plenty of things to discover along the way (and while waiting for Inazuma to actually arrive in Genshin Impact). Paimon will tell players to snap a photo of the mural once players discover it, so the Kamera gadget will need to be unlocked ahead of time. Once this is done, players will keep the photo as a quest item and "The Other Side of Isle and Sea" will officially begin.

One mural is located on the Minacious Isle in Genshin Impact, and it's located on the eastern part of the island, near the large rock formation that's there. There are two murals around Twinning Isle: The first is located on the southern landmass, right between two rocks. The second Twinning Isle mural is on the small western landmass, on the north side near the beach.

A fourth mural can be found on Broken Isle, but players will need to participate in a Painted Ground/Painted Wall mini-game to get the wall to break. After fighting a few enemies, the mural can be found in this newly discovered cavern. The fifth mural is on Nameless Islet and is a bit tricky to find. Players will need to go to the small island where one of Barbara's Echoing Conches is located between 10 AM - 2 PM when the mist is gone, and then sail to the Nameless Islet from there.

Once all the murals have been found, players need to head back to Mondstadt and speak with Sayid in the library to finish up the side quest and learn more about Inazuma's history. Overall, it's a great way to familiarize oneself with the Golden Apple Archipelago, and a pretty fun quest in Genshin Impact.
