Other Mods Among Us Should Officially Add Next | Screen Rant

Mods are an immensely popular part of Among Us, the social deduction game from Innersloth that's become a pop culture hit. As more fans create mods, the indie studio is now incorporating some modded content officially into the game, all of which is presumably inspired by mods from within the community. So, which mods should Innersloth officially add into Among Us next?

Modded roles are arguably the most popular kind, which is why it isn't that surprising that Innersloth is adding roles like Scientist into Among Us in a future update. A Sheriff role is also being added soon - and it will probably work similarly to how the popular role mod works already. For now, though, it's somewhat unclear how these new roles will affect gameplay once they're officially released, and whether or not they'll be available in all game modes or not.

Innersloth will also be adding in a new game mode, Hide and Seek, in the future. Once again, this is one of the most popular fan-made mods for Among Us, so it's perhaps not too surprising to find it'll be officially added at some point. Even the most recent 15-player lobby update for the game may have been inspired by mods that allow more users - some for up to 100-players at one time - to enjoy a round together. If this trend continues, there are plenty more mods for Innersloth to be inspired by and add officially into Among Us next.

While the new roles of Scientist and Sheriff will likely help out crewmates, Innersloth could add roles for Impostors to use. Mods for Impostor roles like Vampire and Witch are popular already, and they make interesting gameplay changes - like turning into a bat or flying around the map with ease. Adding in new Impostor roles would make a next natural step for Among Us.

In terms of new games modes, mods that let everyone Vent in Among Us would make an interesting choice for an official release. This would make for faster gameplay, more intense rounds, and would make it easier for crewmates to escape Impostors (but harder to spot Impostors, since Venting would no longer be an exclusive ability for that role).

Likewise, a more horror-themed mode for Among Us, perhaps inspired by the Five Nights At Freddy's Mod, could also make gameplay more thrilling. Of course, so far Innersloth hasn't confirmed anything beyond the new Sheriff and Scientist roles and the Hide and Seek mode, but these upcoming additions prove the studio is turning to its modding community to find ways to make Among Us more interesting and fun. So, it's likely other mods will eventually end up as official content in the future.
