Pokemon Go: A Seven-Colored Shadow Special Research Tasks (& Rewards)

A new set of Special Research tasks is here in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players every task and reward for the "A Seven-Colored Shadow" event. Pokemon Go has tons of events planned for the remainder of the Summer. For this Special Research task, in particular, players will try and save a Shadow Ho-Oh from Team Rocket. Team Rocket is known for trapping darkness within Pokemon's hearts to make them stronger and emotionless. Fortunately, one of the rewards will provide players with a Rocket Radar for finding the final boss. Defeating him will offer players the chance to obtain their own Shadow Ho-Oh. The thing that makes Special Research Tasks so important is that they are only available for a limited time. In this case, the "A Seven-Colored Shadow" is available from June 17th at 12 am local time and concludes on September 1st at 12 am local time. Players will need to complete these challenges before the deadline in order to obtain every reward. If players take too long, these rewards will disappear forever. Fortunately, the game provides players with months to complete a few simple tasks. Here is every Special Research Task and reward for this event.

This event is broken down into 6 different stages. Here is what players need to do to get every reward.

• Stage 1/6: Catch 10 Pokemon (Teddiursa encounter), Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms (1 Sun Stone), Purify 1 Shadow Pokemon (15 Pokeballs), Rewards: 1500 XP, 500 Stardust, Gloom encounter.
• Stage 2/6: Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket Grunts (5 Hyper Potions), Catch 5 Shadow Pokemon (5 Revives), Purify 3 Shadow Pokemon (15 Great Balls), Rewards: 2000 XP, 500 Stardust, Xatu encounter.
• Stage 3/6: Use 3 supereffective Charges Attacks in Gym battles (1 Fast TM), Battle another Trainer in Great League (1 Charged TM), Purify 5 Shadow Pokemon (15 Ultra Balls), Rewards: 2500 XP, 1000 Stardust, 1 Rocket Radar.
• Stage 4/6: Defeat Team Rocket Leader Arlo (Flareon encounter), Defeat Team Rocket Leader Cliff (Vaporeon encounter), Defeat Team Rocket Leader Sierra (Jolteon encounter), Rewards: 2500 XP, 1000 Stardust, 1 Super Rocket Radar.
• Stage 5/6: Find the Team Go Rocket Boss (5 Max Potions), Battle the Team Go Rocket Boss (5 Max Revives), Defeat the Team Go Rocket Boss (1 Kings Rock), Rewards: Larvitar encounter, 3000 XP, 2000 Stardust.
• Stage 6/6: Claim Rewards: 6000 XP, 2 Silver Pinap Berries, 2000 Stardust, 1 Lucky Egg.

This set of Special Research tasks shouldn't be too difficult to complete. The game offers tons of chances throughout the Summer, like with Go Fest, to increase your rate of encounter Team Rocket. Make sure to complete these as fast as possible to avoid missing out. Once the event comes to a close, these rewards will be gone forever.
