The ever-growing roster of characters in Genshin Impact is fairly diverse in terms of combat styles and Elements. There are some pretty powerful Cryo users in the game already, although some are definitely better than others. So, which Cryo users in Genshin Impact are actually the best - and why?
Cryo characters use ice-based attacks and skills in combat. They can also trigger Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact like Frozen, Melt, and Superconduct to bring down enemies even faster. Because of this, they make a pretty useful addition to teams and can be used for various roles like DPS or Support. Kaeya is one of the first characters given to players in the main storyline, but he's quickly outshined by other Cryo users that are gotten through Genshin Impact's Wish system, a gacha mechanic that relies on RNG and luck. Because of this, it can sometimes be difficult to pull the best Cryo users in the game.
The most powerful Cryo users in Genshin Impact are typically DPS characters, because they're meant to defeat enemies quickly while triggering Elemental Reactions. However, a few Cryo characters like Rosaria and Chongyun are helpful in Support roles, even if they aren't necessarily the best ice-based users in the game.
Arguably the best Cryo user currently in Genshin Impact is Ganyu, because she has multiple AoEs that are great for taking down large numbers of enemies. She can also summon a Sacred Cryo Pearl, which will cause continuous AoE damage with its shards of ice that fall down on enemies.
Eula was one of the new characters in Version 1.5, and she's also a powerful Cryo DPS character. She's a bit sturdier than Ganyu, which means she can withstand more hits, even though more of her attacks focus on hitting single enemies. For players looking for a Cryo user to fit a more supportive role, Diona is great. She has a continuous AoE like Ganyu, can throw up a Shield, and is great for triggering Elemental Reactions. Diona was also available for free in Genshin Impact for a limited time, so she has the added benefit of being theoretically more accessible than Ganyu or Eula.
Cryo users are great for Elemental Reactions, so they fit nicely within most team builds in Genshin Impact. However, Cryo users like Eula, Ganyu, and Diona can make better choices than others like Kaeya. Ultimately, though, it may come down to the player to decide which character they like best on their team.
