The wife of Jovi Dufren is being labeled tone-deaf by franchise fans after Yara shared a post about Cuba, a country that is currently experiencing historic protests after dealing with an economic crisis and chronic resource shortages. While 90 Day Fiancé star Yara tried to show her solidarity, viewers instead believe she made her post all about her.
The mother of Mylah has always wanted social media fame, though Yara misses the mark frequently. Yara was called out for misunderstanding a quote, while she has also been blasted for promoting a materialistic lifestyle on social media that doesn't match the more genuine image she depicts onscreen for Happily Ever After. While the mother has been focused on her health, parenting Mylah, coping with Jovi working, and moving to a quiet suburb on the spin-off show, her social media presence is far more shallow. Yara promotes brand names and flaunts her material wealth as she flaunts her online boutique. Critics have called her out for selling cheap clothing at marked-up prices, but Yara has blasted bloggers and critics for being jealous of her and her success.
One viewer shared a photo of Yara to Reddit with the caption, "It’s Yara being SO tone deaf for me." The pic, which was taken from Yara’s Instagram Story, featured her on vacation posing in the streets. “I was in Cuba, I saw what was happening there,” Yara wrote. “I’m with you guys.” Commenters were quick to blast Yara's post tone-deaf.
