LeBron James Joining Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem For Space Jam Launch

In honor of Space Jam: A New Legacy's release, LeBron James and the Tune Squad will enter the fray in Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem starting today, July 16. Developed by Scopely, Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem is a turn-based RPG available to play on Android and iOS platforms.

Players can join forces with the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Marvin the Martian to build a Toon Team comprised of classic characters such as Tweety Bird, Taz, and Road Runner, and Wile E. Coyote, all of whom boast unique special abilities and attacks that perfectly befit Looney Tunes' humor. As such, it should come as no surprise that World of Mayhem's turn-based battles see players employing gags and pranks to defeat their foes. The game also allows users to take their Toon Team online in PvP matches that can culminate in new power-ups and rewards.

Today, LeBron James and the Tune Squad from Space Jam: A New Legacy enter the ranks of Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem. LeBron captains two different squads, Tune Squad Shooters and Tune Squad Dunkers, each of which players can use to complete World of Mayhem's all-new “Welcome to the Space Jam” in-game campaign. Those who finish the campaign will gain access to LeBron's Tune, as well as the "week-long Hold the Throne calendar of daily log-in bonuses."

The new content will additionally task fans with choosing between two separate play paths for the first time. Choosing to develop the Tune Squad Shooters or the Tune Squad Dunkers culminates in players either assuming the role of special edition Dunker Bugs Bunny or Shooter Wile E. Coyote, then assembling an ultimate Tune Squad of their own. Once LeBron's arc ends, a special edition Dunker Lola Bunny will unlock with another new event celebrating Tune Squad.

As fans may already be aware, Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem isn't the only game commemorating the long-awaited release of LeBron's journey into the Space Jam franchise. King James recently entered Fortnite's Item Shop with two separate outfits in tow.

And just yesterday, July 15, a new game starring the Space Jam crew entered free-to-play status on the Microsoft Store. Developed by Digital Eclipse, the project in question - Space Jam: A New Legacy The Game - is a side scrolling beat 'em up featuring LeBron, Lola, and Bugs taking on various Goon Squad bosses and robotic foes.
