Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Box Art Characters Not In The Trailer

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a recently announced fighting game starring characters from well-known animated shows on the network. The trailer showcases the fighters in action, along with stages designed after recognizable locations from shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and Ren & Stimpy. Initially, pre-orders of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl showcased box art with shadows of the launch roster, leading fans to speculate about who would be part of the new game.

Confirmed Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl characters for its launch roster include SpongeBob SquarePants, Sandy Cheeks, Patrick Star, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Michelangelo and Leonardo, Danny Phantom, Powdered Toast Man and others. According to the trailer, more characters will be announced prior to the game's fall release. It's unclear whether any characters from Nick Jr. or cartoonized versions of live-action Nickelodeon shows such as All That, The Amanda Show, and Drake and Josh will eventually join the fray.

So far, all characters on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's roster come from shows created by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, so it stands to reason any other fighters announced for launch would be as well. Additionally, the already announced fighters span generations of cartoons, implying any character produced by Nickelodeon is a possible addition, culminating in 30 years worth of shows to pull from. Cover art for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl hints at many characters to come. While some are fairly easy to guess with certainty, such as Avatar's Aang and Korra, others are anyone's guess.

The cover art for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is cryptic, showing only shadows outlining characters' figures, and Target's website has since removed the image altogether. However, the cover's silhouettes feature several unique character outlines that hint at other fighters to come for the game's launch. Assuming Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl follows Super Smash Bros. formula, it's likely even more characters will be added at a later time, even if they aren't included at the game's launch, possibly roping in names from other shows such as Chalk Zone, Fairly OddParents, The Angry Beavers, and many more.

While some of the presumed characters on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's cover art bring in new shows to the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl universe, others expand on already confirmed IP. Below is a list of every character theorized to be part of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl roster at launch based on the cover art.

  • Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
  • Korra (The Legend of Korra)
  • Catdog (Catdog)
  • Ren (Ren & Stimpy)
  • Stimpy (Ren & Stimpy)
  • Krumm (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)
  • Dora (Dora the Explorer)
