Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause talks all things dating after her divorce. The 39-year-old doesn't want to just be known for helping those find their dream homes, but also what it means to move on in her love life. Dating with a blue checkmark is more complicated than it looks, as Chrishell battles being asked out online.
Chrishell began dating her ex-husband and actor Justin Hartley in 2014. The two married in October of 2017 and were divorced in July of 2019, making their marriage two years long. Their divorce has been rather private, but you can see the emotions play out in season 3 of Selling Sunset. Chrishell was very caught off guard by the split, causing some drama between her and co-stars of what really went down to cause the separation.
Chrishell doesn't want to be considered down and out. She still hopes to date and is open to the many different outlets of meeting people. According to Us Weekly, Chrishell has a few suitors in her Instagram DMs. During an interview, the Selling Sunset star said she's not big on replying to people who reach out to her on Instagram. She appreciates the compliments, but that's not the way to score a date with her. Chrishell says, “Even those blue checks I’m probably not even going to answer,” she said. “[I take] the compliment. … But I’m very awkward with that kind of stuff. It makes me feel like an awkward teen all over again. Like, what do you say?”
Chrishell actively continued to try to date after the divorce. At one point, she began seeing Dancing With The Stars costar Keo Motsepe. They dated briefly in December of 2020 after rumors stirred of her dating partner Gleb Savchenko, who is married. Chrishell and Gleb dodged cheating rumors until finally, Chrishell went public about her relationship with Keo. After three months, word broke she initiated the split for multiple reasons. Though things with Keo didn't work out, she still looks to keep dating in the future after taking some time to herself. A source told Us Weekly, "She went through so much heartbreak this past year that she really is taking a break from dating. She’s someone who does love being in a relationship, but now she’s completely going to take time for herself and focus on what’s to come.”
Chrishell has been through her fair share of heartbreak in the last few years. She seems to be optimistic about dating but under the right circumstances. She's not impressed by blue checkmarks or DMs, but if asked the right way, it seems the Selling Sunset star is open to anything.
