Cara Gosselin is seemingly shading her father Jon Gosselin from Jon and Kate Plus 8. The 20-year-old took to the internet to drag her father's parenting amidst years of ongoing family drama between the father and daughter.
Jon and Kate Gosselin were America's couple during the early 2000s on TLC. Jon and Kate starred on the show, along with their eight children from 2007 to 2017. They are parents to twins Cara and Madelyn, now 20, and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Joel, Leah, Hannah, and Collin, 16. The family dynamic started to come undone as TLC viewers watched the couple drift apart during confessional. The couple divorced in 2009 after Jon accused his ex-wife of abuse. Currently, Jon has custody of Hannah and Collin. Sadly, the rest of the children don't speak to their father.
The sophomore has decided to only name her mother, Kate, in her biography for Fordham University. In the personal section, she wrote, "Daughter of Kate Gosselin ... Twin sister, Mady, attends Syracuse ... Has six younger siblings." There wasn't one mention of her 44-year-old father. But this move did not come as a surprise to Jon and Kate Plus 8 fans. In her university bio, it showed that she was a part of the rowing team and joined as a walk-on in her freshman year. Sadly, Fordham's spring season was canceled due to the pandemic. Cara has developed quite a name for herself and rowed in the Frosh 8+ and won their heat. While in high school, she played varsity lacrosse and field hockey.

Kate has had full control of her children until a few years ago. The 46-year-old moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina to try and change her surroundings after a rough couple of years. TLC viewers are well aware of the tensions between Jon and his six other children. Jon has always hoped that one day he would be able to reconcile with all of them. The former DJ has made it clear that he is concentrating on taking care of the two children he has had custody of since 2018, and he can only hope the others decide to come around.
Hannah still talks with her brothers and sister. The twins, Mady and Cara, have always been open about their estranged relationship with their father and haven't spoken with him since 2016. As for Cara, she is majoring in interdisciplinary math and economics and presumably has no time for any extra family drama. Fans of Jon and Kate Plus 8 hope that the family can heal and move forward, but until then, it looks like the kids will be shading their father.
