Later this month, publisher Bethesda Softworks plans to unleash DOOM Eternal's The Ancient Gods - Part Two DLC on Nintendo Switch, though Switch owners can jump into "five intense DOOM games" right now via the Slayers Collection. DOOM Eternal didn't hit the Nintendo hybrid until December 2020, several months after the sequel launched across PC and other consoles.
Panic Button ported the action-packed shooter to the Switch, having previously brought the likes of Wolfenstein and Warframe experiences to the handheld hardware. The Ancient Gods - Part One is already available to play, inviting fans to continue Doom Slayer's mission of beating back the legions of Hell. Priced at $19.99, Part One of the story expansion takes place after the events of DOOM Eternal's Campaign; the Khan Maykr may have been defeated, yet Hell's demons continue their expansion across dimensions and grow evermore threatening. In the very near future, Switch owners will have the opportunity to partake in the second half of The Ancient Gods.
Recently, Bethesda confirmed DOOM Eternal's The Ancient Gods - Part Two DLC will migrate to Nintendo Switch on Thursday, August 26. The publisher noted as much in a blog post, telling players the content will launch digitally on the eShop and through direct digital codes from certain retail stores. In order to have DOOM Eternal and both of its story expansions installed on their unit, Switch owners should boast at least 29GB of available free space, according to an FAQ on Bethesda's website. That's not all, though. Switch fans have even more DOOM-related content to sink their teeth into, thanks to the release of the Slayers Collection, which includes DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 64, DOOM 3, and DOOM (2016). This collection of classic titles became available yesterday, August 19.

Like most other modern platforms, Nintendo Switch now has easy access to every mainline DOOM title released to date. Some control-based gripes aside, the handheld seems the perfect home for several of these experiences, too, particularly the older games.
How else Bethesda and creator id Software plan to further expand upon the property presently remains a mystery. But at least DOOM faithful can now return to the brand's deep well of content whenever they see fit on their platform of choice.
DOOM Eternal is available to play now on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
