Real Housewives of Potomac stars Candiace Dillard and Wendy Ofeso are defending themselves after Nicki Minaj shaded the group's pole dancing scene on the latest RHOP episode. While tuning into Sunday's show, the queen of rap poked fun at the silly moment which led the two housewives to respond on social media. The musician has shown love for the ladies of Potomac online recently, inciting some buzz that the Potomac reunion may be hosted by Nicki herself.
Nicki joked she would dethrone Andy Cohen as RHOP reunion host when she posted a remixed version her song "Moment for Life" over the season trailer to her Instagram last month. In addition to excited fans being on board with Nicki as reunion host, Potomac housewives also cosigned the idea with the ladies shouting out Nicki on their social media accounts. Karen Huger said she hoped Nicki would appear on the show in a recent interview. Andy reportedly reached out to Nicki's camp to set up an appearance although no official plans are known to fans at this time.
Nicki kept up the banter with RHOP fans this week when she tweeted her reaction to Sunday's episode that followed the ladies on a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia on a party bus. A scene in which the ladies tried out the stripper pole on the bus caught Nicki's eye. "What was that pole party giving just now y'all?" Nicki joked via Twitter Sunday night, referencing the ladies' silly dance moves. Candiace responded to the queen of rap's shade, tweeting: "I think I did alright for never having been on a pole for real."
Wendy also responded to Nicki about her klutzy pole dance moment. "Chyleee, I was giving absolutely nothing!" she said. Wendy nodded to Nicki's previous statements about hosting the reunion, adding: "Please don't go on me at the reunion." Fans echoed Nicki's reaction to the pole dancing scene, chiding the ladies for their showing off their dance moves. Twitter users also praised Nicki for getting into RHOP like other regular viewers.
Now that Nicki has become an established Real Housewives of Potomac fan, viewers are excited about the possibility of the rapper coming on the series. Because the season just kicked off, it's unclear what kind of surprise fans can anticipate when the ladies get back together for a reunion episode. While there's plenty of drama between the Potomac ladies, they all seem to agree Nicki should stop by and meet the cast. A Nicki appearance would be an iconic moment for Real Housewives of Potomac, as the star would be a great challenger for the ladies' drama during the reunion.
