Josh Duggar's alleged young victims will have their identities hidden to keep their privacy. The court made the decision earlier this week. Josh of 19 Kids and Counting has found himself in a bit of pickle, once again. TLC fans are well aware by now that the reality star is no stranger to controversy and is now is losing the support of his family after his most recent arrest.
Along with the rest of his large family, Duggar was featured on their reality show until 2015 that showed how Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar ran such a large household. During this time, the TLC show was canceled due to allegations against Josh, which included molesting five girls when he was a teenager; two of his victims turned out to be his sisters. Trouble continued to follow him, and after he left the show, he tried his hand in conservative politics. He quickly found himself going down the wrong path and wound up in the middle of a scandal after the Ashley Madison site was breached. The website was known for helping men cheat on their wives.
The Sun revealed that Josh’s lawyers will be holding interviews with his alleged victims in closed court in order to protect their identities. Josh was arrested back in April and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography. He is currently out on bail and living in home confinement until his court date in July.

The outlet shared that a Protective Order Concerning Child Victim and Witness Privacy was filed on June 11. According to the paperwork, attorneys for the “United States are prepared to make discovery, which is evidence” that will be available to Josh’s defense team. The order states that any documents that contain the witness’s name must be kept in a safe place. This also means names will be redacted and kept under a seal, so the public has no means of reading them. According to the outlet, the order applies to the jury and anyone connected to the case.
The protective order also applies to sensitive information, which includes written or electronic. It is safe to say that no outsiders will be able to report on the case. Little has been revealed about his upcoming court date or if the 19 Kids and Counting star will decide to take the stand.
