Mike Youngquist from 90 Day Fiancé found himself in hot water this week thanks to his Confederate flag décor. But his latest problematic actions toward Natalie Mordovtseva have also drawn comparisons to his mother, Trish. Without considering the source, Mike lashed out at Natalie when confronted about Trish calling her a slur. The Sequim man has previously proclaimed he doesn’t love Natalie, only to get married in the finale. However, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has let momma’s boy Mike show his true colors, which Reddit users feel are the same as Trish’s.
Sequim man Mike had 90 Day Fiancé fans rooting for him as Natalie showcased her nagging behavior, but also bashing him when he revealed his true toxic self. Fans loathed Mike as he teamed up with Trish to humiliate Natalie, blaming her for not helping cook and clean and dismissing her Hollywood dreams. Fans were not surprised to know Natalie left Mike for good on Christmas Eve, something TLC may have saved for the latter half of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. Still, Mike who has been wearing the villain label all week for having the confederate flag décor in his house, gave fans more reasons to dislike him.
Plenty of 90 Day Fiancé viewers have admitted to hating Mike more with each episode, and the fight with Natalie on episode 9 came as a final nail in the coffin. While Natalie knew that Mike wouldn’t react positively to her bringing up the slur argument again, she did approach carefully and still got him to berate her. Mike claimed that Natalie was lying and had a misunderstanding, and blamed it on communication issues. The 90 Day Fiancé star went on to twist and turn Natalie’s words, saying “whatever Natalie” and defending Trish, who supposedly raised him right. Reddit users observed how everything Mike said appeared to be him mimicking Trish, who apparently had no idea how she insulted Natalie during Thanksgiving.
“Mike is Trish in male form,” wrote a 90 Day Fiancé viewer before admitting that they used to like him as he “seemed nice in the beginning.” However, the fan slowly started noticing how Mike “makes all the same faces” and also has a “very similar voice and intonation.” The dismissive attitude of Mike also seems to run in the family, coupled with his “dumb sense of humor” as per the TLC fan, who finds his voice cracking during arguments funny. “You spelled Trash wrong…” said one of the thread’s comments as someone else posted, “He straight up gaslights Natalie. Just like his mommy” and added that Natalie is not “toxic and abusive” like Mike and Trish.
Over the last three seasons, 90 Day Fiancé fans have realized that Natalie complains but is direct when voicing her concerns apart from being honest. On the other hand, Mike is “passive-aggressive, back-handed,” as a comment states, coming in very close to their castmates Colt and Debbie Johnson. Considering Larissa Lima dealt with a similar fate, but is now living her best influencer life, perhaps, 90 Day Fiancé star Natalie will follow in her footsteps.
