In both the hit television show and comic series it was based on, The Walking Dead has featured a number of absolutely disgusting moments. But, the most repulsive moment from the comics never made it to the AMC series and for good reason.
The Walking Dead is no stranger to having some absolutely disgusting, violent, and/or gruesome scenes. While Negan beating Glenn to death with a baseball bat, Tyreese getting decapitated, and Lori and Judith getting killed with bullets were all particularly offputting, nothing came as close to being as gross as the time the Governor decided to kiss his zombie niece in the comics.
In The Walking Dead #43 by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Cliff Rathburn, and Russ Wooten, the story flashes back to the Governor laying on the ground with a missing arm and near-death following Michonne getting revenge for torturing her. Shockingly, despite having his eye gouged out and being left for dead, the Governor manages to recover. After he rallies the citizens of Woodbury to attack Rick, Michonne, and the survivors at the prison, the Governor is seen at home. In one of the biggest WTF moments in comics, he pulls out his zombie niece's teeth and gives her a full mouth kiss.

The moment is deeply disturbing, as you can see the blood from the Governor's niece go into his. The next page shows the villain immediately throws up following the kiss, and the Governor telling his zombified niece"Oh honey... I'm sorry. Don't think anything of it. I'm sure -- with time, I'll get used to the taste." He tells his niece not to be upset (good luck, she's a zombie) before he's interrupted with some intel about an explosion at the prison.
It's hard to put in words how stomach-turning the Governor's relationship with his niece was in the comics. Kissing his zombie niece in such a grotesque manner while saying "give daddy a kiss," is immensely screwed up. It should come as no surprise, the television show, despite numerous adaptations of the comics' grossest moments, steered clear of bringing the kiss to the small screen. In a comic filled with brutal zombie kills and guts and gore, the most repulsive single scene is the Governor kissing his niece. It's without a doubt the grossest moment from The Walking Dead comic.
