Sex and the City Reboot Release Date Set for December

HBO Max have shared an exciting behind-the-scenes clip of the upcoming Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That..., that confirms its December release date. The upcoming series will see the return of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in the next chapter of their iconic characters' lives. After the incredible success of the original TV show, Sex and the City, which ran for 6 seasons, the group of friends returned for two feature films in 2008 and 2010. With this upcoming series set to continue the stories of these much-loved characters, it seems fans have a lot to catch up on with Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda.

The reboot was first announced back in January and began filming in June earlier this year, and while few details have been released up to now, audiences have been treated to small glimpses along the way. A short teaser released recently confirmed the return of Carrie's husband "Big" (Chris Noth) which was a welcome addition for many fans of the franchise. While Noth will be returning, a certain fan-favorite character, Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) will unfortunately not be making an appearance. Despite being a core part of the iconic friend group, Cattrall confirmed very early on that she would not be returning to her Emmy-winning role, due to the "toxic relationships" that she claims existed between her and her co-stars on set.
