Damian Wayne just proved he definitely takes after his father, as he just used Batman's greatest ability as a detective to learn more details about the deadly Lazarus Tournament. In Robin #7, Robin uncovered the biggest secrets about Lazarus Island's deadly tournament and the real identity of Mother Soul. Damian proved that, like his dad, he is a world-class detective when needed.
In his current ongoing series Robin, Damian Wayne is on Lazarus Island as one of the participants in the Lazarus Tournament. The tourney features young heroes - including Robin, Respawn, Connor Hawke, Flatline, and Ravager - as they battle to the death, with the winner gaining immortality from Mother Soul. However, Robin quickly realized that something else was happening on the island and that the fighters were being used for a different purpose entirely. In the latest chapter of Robin, Damian discovers the real reason why the fighters have assembled on Lazarus Island and Mother Soul's true identity.
In Robin #7 by Joshua Williamson, Gleb Melnikov, Max Dunbar, Luis Guerrero, and ALW's Troy Peteri, Mother Soul approaches Robin after he battles Respawn, saying that the answers he's looking for aren't in the stolen Book of Lazarus. Robin responds by telling Mother Soul he's read enough of the book to understand what's really happening on the island. Damian tells her he knows Lazarus Pits infected the island and that it feeds off death, so Mother Soul could power something on it by hosting a tournament where fighters die. Robin also drops another bombshell about Mother Soul's real identity: She's actually Ruh Al Ghul, the mother of Ra's Al Ghul and his grandmother.
Robin has more questions than answers, as he wonders how Ruh Al Ghul is alive, considering she died before the Lazarus Pits were discovered. He also wonders if the assassins sent to kill his mother Talia were intended to catch his attention and get him to the island. After asking if Talia knows about her, Ruh responds to Damian, saying his mother is complicated.
Damian Wayne hasn't fully cracked the going-ons on Lazarus Island. Still, in a short time, he's uncovered the real reason Mother Soul brought fighters there and uncovered the secret identity of the person behind everything, Ruh Al Ghul. While the youngest Robin seems to take more after his mother Talia than his father, Batman would be proud of his detective skills on display in the issue, as Damian proved to be a natural in figuring out the complicated truth behind the Lazarus Tournament. Robin #7 is in comic book stores now.
