One of the most controversial Bachelor leads, Juan Pablo Galavis, just reunited with his ex, Nikki Ferrell. Juan Pablo isn't remembered fondly by fans; in fact, his season is generally considered one of the worst among Bachelor Nation. He's known for being unemotional and detached from the women on his season, and utilizing the catchphrase "It's okay" way too often. Andi Dorfman and Clare Crawley, two cast members from season 18 who would later go on to be leads on The Bachelorette, both told him off for the way he treated them during the show.
Juan Pablo ultimately ended up choosing Nikki at the end of his run, although the two did not get engaged in the finale. Their post-Bachelor relationship only lasted for about 7 months, with Nikki saying a difference in lifestyles led to their breakup. While a lot of fans chalked their failed relationship up to the same issues Andi and Clare had with him, the couple tried hard to save their relationship. They even gave MTV's Couples Therapy a try, but Juan Pablo and Nikki ended up calling it quits anyway. Nikki is now married to Tyler VanLoo while Juan Pablo recently divorced Osmariel Villalobos in 2019.
It looks like there are no hard feelings between Juan Pablo and Nikki, and the two are reuniting after 7 years. "GREAT 7 years of CATCHING up @nikki_ferrell," Juan Pablo captioned a recent Instagram post. The photo shows Juan Pablo and Nikki smiling at the camera while walking around The Plaza in Kansas City. Former contestants from Juan Pablo's season, Sharleen Joynt and Renée Maynard, shared their excitement to seeing the two together again. "I love everything about this!!!" Renée said, while Sharleen wrote "THIS! IS! EVERYTHING!!!" Nikki implored fans on her Instagram Story not to "make it weird."
Along with Andi, Sharleen was the only contestant to self-eliminate on Juan Pablo's season. Sharleen left due to her lack of feelings towards Juan Pablo and ended up marrying Andy Levine in 2017. The opera singer is still connected to the series despite not appearing on any Bachelor franchise shows anymore. Instead, she writes recaps of the show for the online portion of the Canadian magazine, FLARE, and hosts her own podcast that sometimes features Bachelor alums.
While most relationships forged in the world of The Bachelor don't last very long, it's always nice to see former cast members reconnecting. Based on the comments, fans are excited to see that a pair of exes from Bachelor Nation are still friends. Even though Juan Pablo's season is considered one of the worst, it's still nostalgic to see OG contestants keeping in touch. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of Juan Pablo and Nikki's friendship in the future.
