Fortnite: Madcap Location Guide in Fortnite (Season 8)

For Fortnite players looking to complete all their Punch Card quests in Season 8, they’ll need to find Madcap. Punch Cards have made a return once again in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, and players have the chance to earn over a million XP by completing all the new questlines for various NPCs.

Each NPC’s Punch Card offers various quests with various rewards. XP earned can range from 12,000 to 20,000 per quest, and they can be completed in any order throughout Season 8. Currently, there are 16 NPC Punch Cards players can complete, including Madcap’s. Players will have to talk to Madcap if they want to complete the Mushroom Master questline, and earn all the XP that comes with it. Here’s where to find Madcap in Fortnite Season 8.

Players can find Madcap just west of Corny Complex in Fortnite Season 8. He’ll be inside the house with the water mill, located directly next to the river. The house has a red roof, and blue and yellow walls, making it easy to spot. Once players approach Madcap, they’ll be able to see the familiar NPC text bubble icon that has appeared in the last few seasons, which indicates he’s inside the building. Once players see this icon, they’ll know they’re in the right place and be able to find and speak to Madcap easily.

After talking to Madcap, he’ll assign the player the Mushroom Master questline, which includes five stages. These stages involve foraging Mushrooms for Madcap. Mushrooms can be found easily in grassy areas of Weeping Woods and can either be consumed or gathered. Players are going to want to gather them for many of Madcap’s requests.

It’s likely that several other players will be headed to talk to Madcap as well to do his Punch Card, so players should be well-equipped when they head to Corny Complex. It’s ideal to have a decent weapon and some healing items before going to talk to him or going to complete his quest in case players encounter opponents. Alternatively, NPCs have spawned in the quieter Team Rumble Mode in previous seasons. Players should have an easier time reaching him in Team Rumble if they prefer to do so without as much of a fight.

Completing Madcap’s full questline grants players a total of 80,000 XP toward leveling up their Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass and earning more Battle Stars. Madcap’s Punch Card is just one of several, so players should make sure they’re doing as many as they can to earn all the great rewards available in Season 8.
