Alth0ugh the Winders are always looking to add another sister wife to their family on Seeking Sister Wife, Kimberly Greene wasn't the right choice for Colton, Tami, and Sophie. Since they joined the polygamist reality show on season 2, fans have embraced the Winder family for their easygoing and kind nature. Due to the Winders' accepting disposition and eagerness for a third wife, fans were surprised Kimberly couldn't be accommodated.
The Winder family is the most popular crew of the Seeking Sister Wife cast. In all fairness, that's not a very difficult feat to accomplish, as many of the reality series' other stars are infamously manipulative and despised by fans. While it's true that the other plural families make the Winders look good, Colton, Tami, and Sophie deserve some credit for their appeal. In contrast to the jealous Seeking Sister Wife stars, the Winders view their larger-than-average family as a team. Instead of vying for Colton's attention, Tami and Sophie are grateful for the support they offer each other. Because of their proven faith in plural marriage, fans were supportive of the Winders' attempt to add Kimberly to their unconventional clan and were puzzled when it didn't work out.
Kimberly is from North Carolina and traveled to Utah to visit C0lton, Tami, and Sophie on season 4. Initially, fans responded poorly to Kimberly because she dressed casually to meet the Winder crew. Colton took to Instagram to defend Kimberly, which gave fans the impression that the Winders were continuing their relationship with the North Carolinian. Unfortunately, the Winders didn't think Kimberly was a match for their family. In an interview with Linda Antwi The Melanated Way, the Winder trio spoke about their decision to move on from Kimberly. Although farmer and husband Colton Winder asserted that he liked Kimberly, the three reality stars agreed she wasn't a match for their family.

On Seeking Sister Wife, many fans got the impression Colton just wasn't very into Kimberly. When asked if he didn't have a connection with the former sister wife candidate, Colton responded, "I think she's an absolutely beautiful woman with a wonderful spirit... There were just a lot of differences." Colton explained he had different views on life, religion, and family than Kimberly did. Colton continued, "I felt like it would be a lot of work for us to all be on the same page." Although it appears as though Kimberly was rejected by the Winder family, the TV personality clarified that the North Carolina native agreed to the split. Colton confirmed, "It was a mutual decision." Colton, Tami, and pregnant sister wife Sophie Winder haven't kept up their search for a third wife, but they are still talking with "people that reach out to us."
While fans want the best for the Winder family, the three Seeking Sister Wife stars are making sure they find the right match to join their plural marriage. Unlike some of their impatient co-stars, Colton, Tami, and Sophie are thorough with their search as they want to make the perfect decision for their family. Kimberly might be disappointed, but the Winder family's moral compass is what continues to make them the fan-favorite stars of Seeking Sister Wife.
