- Players should use the Steel Reaper weapon. This can be found in chapter 1 and does the most physical damage.
- Orange Boxes break faster when using melee attacks.
- Purple Boxes break faster when using magic attacks.
- Aim for the time boxes the moment the player encounters them. These will extend the time remaining. Throw the Shuriken to get through it fast.
- The Large Box can be broken if the player throws the Shuriken and while it's on its way, players use the Windstorm ability. Bringing up the ATB menu and using Windstorm will cause the Shuriken to instantly break the box, saving tons of time.
- Replay through the level until the player understands where every box is placed.
Players will need to complete this challenge to unlock the Materia Maven trophy.
