Below Deck Med: What Happened to Hindrigo 'Kiko' Lorran After Season 5

Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran was the chef on season five of Below Deck Mediterranean and continues to live out his dream as a professional cook to this day. During his time on the show, Kiko was able to develop close relationships with his crew members, especially chief stew Hannah Ferrier. Kiko may have been friendly with the crew, but his cooking did not meet yacht standards, according to Captain Sandy. His dishes never wowed, and Sandy felt Kiko didn't have the skills to make it as a yacht chef.

After the travesty that was Vegas night, Sandy and Kiko decided he wasn't the ideal chef for the job. Vegas night became a flop after Kiko and Hannah decided to make fried dishes for the meal. However, it was not up to par, and Captain Sandy was furious. Kiko left shortly after the charter was finished, leaving Hannah broken-hearted by his absence. Nonetheless, Kiko leaving The Wellington vessel was the best decision for him, as he just couldn't please Captain Sandy.

After departing the yacht in Spain last season, Kiko continued to live out his dream and passion as a chef. In fact, last August, he told Decider that he signed a two-year contract to cook on a catamaran sailing all around the world. Kiko revealed he started in Martinique and will travel the world from there with the owner. "He wants to discover the whole world with this boat. So I'm pretty excited and pretty happy," he said of his new adventure at the time. Besides getting to traveling around the world in a catamaran, he also got to bring along his girlfriend, Nicole. "Also, me and my girlfriend, we got the same job together. Seeing the world with my girlfriend, it's just a dream," he added.

Besides getting to live out his passion as a chef, Kiko is also learning how to sail on the catamaran. Kiko is not only cooking on the boat, but he is learning how to work as part of the crew and not just in the kitchen. On Kiko's Instagram, he shows his followers all the beautiful locations he has had the pleasure of visiting since getting this new job last summer. The former reality star has visited places such as the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Turks and Caicos, and so many more. He even got to spend Christmas at one of the beautiful islands he has been able to travel to.

After leaving Spain at the end of season five of Below Deck Med, Kiko's life has become much more fulfilling. Not only does he get to travel the world cooking, but he gets to do it all with his girlfriend by his side. It seems getting fired from The Wellington worked out in the end for Kiko.
