After the controversial Snowdens from Seeking Sister Wife have come under heavy criticism from the series' fans, viewers are frustrated that co-star Dannielle Merrifield seemingly defended the plural family. In a shocking turn of events after Seeking Sister Wife season 3, former sister wife Christeline Petersen accused Dimitri and Ashley Snowden of domestic abuse. The Snowdens have largely been denounced since Christeline's allegations, but here's why fans think that Dannielle is sticking up for Dimitri and Ashley.
Throughout her journey on Seeking Sister Wife, Dannielle has been a recipient of the audience's sympathy. Dannielle was taken under the wing of fans because viewers believe that her husband, Garrick Merrifield, has mistreated her. While Dannielle might have had the viewer's sympathy in the past, her recent defense of Dimitri and Ashley has made her less popular among the Seeking Sister Wife fanbase. Shortly after Christeline got married to Dimitri on the season 3 finale, news broke that the new wife was filing a restraining order against the Snowdens and accused them of domestic abuse. Although Dannielle did not explicitly say that she was in support of the Snowden pair, her instruction to look at both sides indicates that she believes Dimitri and Ashley are being treated unfairly by fans. Dannielle's followers didn't appreciate her defense of Dimitri after his disastrous divorce from Christeline, even if she was just playing devil's advocate.
