Magda was first introduced to 90 Day Fiancé fans during the season 4 premiere in February 2020. New York-based Stephanie was in an online relationship with Erika, who was from Australia. Stephanie and Erika were the first-ever gay couple featured on the beloved dating reality show. While fans rooted for the groundbreaking couple, Stephanie and Erika had several issues they had to sort out on the series. One major struggle between the girls was that Stephanie wasn't as open about her sexuality as Erika was. By the end of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days season 4, Erika and Stephanie had called it quits. Although Stephanie didn't get a long-term girlfriend out of her relationship with Erika, she did get to bond with her mother Magda.
Magda was embraced by fans when she was accepting of her daughter's bisexual identity. For most of Stephanie's season, Magda didn't know about her daughter's sexuality. When Stephanie first shared the news with her mother, Magda expressed disappointment that her daughter would never marry a "Prince Charming" as she'd imagined. Originally from the Czech Republic, Magda immigrated to the United States when Stephanie was 7 years old.
Stephanie revealed that before she was born, Magda was living in the US with her distant aunt on a temporary visa. Stephanie shared that one reason why her parents got married was so that Magda could stay in the United States. However, Stephanie added that Magda's marriage was also based on "love and it was a real relationship.” In addition to starring alongside her so-called attention-craving daughter Stephanie on 90 Day Fiancé, Magda can be found on Instagram at magda_ballaro. Magda has over 2,280 followers on Instagram, where she regularly shares photos of her travels across the world. Magda's bio explains that she works as a real estate agent "specializing in exclusive listings in Connecticut." Magda even has her own website where she lists all of her achievements, including graduating from Palackeho University Olomouc in 1984 and earning the title of Top Producing Agent.
Although her daughter has taken center stage as a reality TV personality, Magda's life is full of fascinating experiences.
