The next Pokémon GO Community Day event is coming up soon, and with it, some nice perks for the Eevee fans and weekend players. The two-day Eevee Community Day will begin on August 13th and run until August 16th. Eevees evolved during the event will gain different special attacks depending on the chosen evolution, as well as a few other nifty bonuses for those who don't have an Eevee already.
Special Attacks aren't the only bonus coming along with the event in Pokémon GO that weekend. The coveted Sylveon evolution will see a reduction in heart cost; the evolution will require only seven hearts instead of 70. A special Timed Research will be available for players to take advantage of, with a reward of a Mossy and Glacial Lure Module up for grabs. A $1 exclusive Special Research story titled "What You Choose To Be" will be available for purchase exclusively during the event as well.
The standard Community Day bonuses in Pokémon GO will also be available. The popular buddy Pokémon Eevee will appear more frequently in the wild, which means an increased chance of capturing a shiny version of the versatile Pokémon. The standard bonuses include eggs requiring one-quarter of the distance to hatch, as well as incense and lure modules lasting three hours instead of the usual one.

Players can use the Eevee nickname trick for evolution to gain their perfect Eeveelution. Each form will gain one special attack depending on the chosen evolution. Standard Eevees caught or hatched will know the move Last Resort. Each Eevee evolution Special Attack in Pokémon GO's new event is listed below.
- Vaporeon: the Water-type move Scald.
- Jolteon: the Electric-type move Zap Cannon.
- Flareon: the Fighting-type move Superpower.
- Espeon: the Ghost-type move Shadowball.
- Umbreon: the Psychic-type move Psychic.
- Leafeon: the Grass-type move Bullet Seed.
- Glaceon: The Water-type move Water Pulse
- Sylveon: The Psychic-type move Psyshock.
Each of these moves is outside of the normal moveset for each Eeveelution, allowing for additional moveset diversity without extra effort. Psychic and Shadowball in particular are strong moves that could see a lot of use. No matter which Eevee evolution players take, they will receive a bonus just for evolving during the Community Day festivities.
Eevee fans are going to have a fun weekend once August 13 hits. For the rest of the Pokémon GO fanbase, there will still be other Community Day bonuses to make playing during the weekend have extra value while catching some new Pokémon for the team during the celebration.
