In the midst of their legal woes, the marital home of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne and her Ex Tom Girardi has dropped in price. Back in February, Girardi had put the home up for sale after facing eviction due to his financial lawsuits. The Girardi home is worth about $6,860,854, though he had stated in a financial document that it was worth $16.5 million the year before. Since May this year, the home has been for sale, with the price dropping rather quickly.
The sale of the home is happening not only in light of Girardi's lawsuits but also his ability to work, live, make money, and take accountability for his own actions. After filing for bankruptcy, being investigated by the California State Bar, and revealing his dementia and Alzheimer's disease, it's no wonder after being proven unfit to work and manage his assets, Girardi has been put under an official legal conservatorship. This came only a month after his home had been put for sale.
According to the New York Post, the Girardi home, which had been listed for $13 million, had been cut to $11.5 million, and as of this week is down to $9.8 millon. Girardi had originally bought the home in 1980 for only $1.3 million. The New York Post also noted that "Once the 10,000-square-foot mansion goes under contract, Girardi will have 20 days to move out, according to the bankruptcy deal." In the meantime, legally the home must be maintained in livable shape.
Although Jayne used to boast and lavish on about her former dream home, its sale is currently one of many recent changes to her luxurious lifestyle. Erika has not been living on the estate for months now and instead has been living on her own, renting a much smaller mansion worth about $1.5 million. The starlet is also battling legal troubles of her own after having been a court ruled that her own money may be at stake in Girardi's victims' case. As of recent, her fans, friends, and co-stars have been wondering if the housewife is at fault and if her time in the spotlight will be at stake too. The loss of her adored mansion may just be the least of Erika Jayne's problems now.
