Big Brother: Everything We Know About Christmas Abbott's Engagement Ring

Yet another successful couple has come out of Big Brother: this time, it's Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbott, who recently got engaged. As the couple is soaking up all the emotions surrounding their recent engagement, the fans are trying to get a better look at Christmas' new shiny accessory. From the looks of it, Memphis put in a lot of effort and money to pick and design the ring he used to propose to Christmas.

Memphis and Christmas' engagement comes a year after they first met on Big Brother 22: All-Stars in the summer of 2020. At the time, Memphis and Christmas were in relationships with their respective partners. Additionally, they both have kids from past relationships as well. At first, the only connection the two had inside the house was being in the same dominant alliance, the Committee. As time went on, however, live feed viewers started to notice that Christmas and Memphis were becoming extremely close. Not long after returning home, they each called it quits with their existing partners and began dating each other.

Back in April 2021, Memphis Garrett admitted that he could see a possible engagement in the future with Christmas Abbott. However, most fans didn't think it would be this soon. Now, the fans want to know all of the details surrounding Christmas' gorgeous diamond ring. Kimberly Abruzzo, a gemologist at Rare Caratgave fans details regarding her stunning ring. The main diamond of the ring is approximately a "4ct radiant shaped center diamond." This diamond is surrounded by "two tapered baguette diamonds." A baguette diamond is essentially a thin, rectangle-shaped diamond. These two additional diamonds are approximately 1ct. combined, making the piece of jewelry an overall 5ct. ring.

The 5ct. ring looks to be set in white gold. Because the diamond is so large, it "requires high color and clarity." Without this, imperfections within the ring could be seen easily. Kimberly added, "And it looks bright white - no yellow tones show up in these pics." But this engagement ring definitely came with a hefty price. Rings of similar shapes, sizes, and designs can typically cost anywhere between $175,000 and $200,000. Overall, that is almost half of the cash prize for winning Big Brother. Memphis did not make it farther in the game last summer to help pay for this ring, but there's no doubt that the income from his restaurants contributed to the bill.

Just a month prior to their shocking engagement, Christmas and Memphis sparked rumors of buying a house together. At the time, they posted photos together in front of a house in Tampa, Florida. On the other hand, neither of them confirmed nor denied those rumors. Now, there is no doubt that the couple will soon be living together (if they are not already!). It looks like Big Brother really does birth more successful couples than The Bachelor franchise after all.
