Luke Gulbranson from Summer House has received quite a bit of love on Instagram since he joined the series for season 4. From the moment the Minnesota native stepped inside the house two summers ago, not only did the fans fall for Luke, but so did some of the women in the house. He began to develop feelings for Hannah Berner, who is now engaged to Des Bishop, and pursued her profusely even though she had been casually dating someone for a few months.
After a while, Hannah gave in, and the pair began to develop a strong bond. They started hanging out more outside the summer house, even going on a first date together in the city. However, their relationship was never official as Luke was pursuing women other than Hannah during the week. They decided to stay friends after their relationship went nowhere and continued to hang out over the winter. When they entered the summer house again, Hannah caught a lot of heat for pursuing a relationship with Luke when she already had someone else in her back pocket.
Over the past year and a half, Luke has quickly become a favorite amongst the Summer House fans. Despite being a bit of a heartbreaker, he has received a lot of support from the viewers on Instagram. In his most recent photo, the 37-year-old shared a snap of himself walking alongside Craig Conover and Austen Kroll from Southern Charm. The comments section was quickly flooded with love from fans who support the budding friendship. One fan wrote, "This is the friendship we needed to see this year," while another said, "I need more of you guys on my tv screen." Plus, there were several fire emojis from fans who are enjoying Luke's new, shorter haircut.
Since he joined the show, Luke's attractiveness is what intrigued many fans in the beginning. However, it became difficult for the viewers to warm up to him, as he was edited in a villainous way during his first season. Luke would flirt with Hannah on the weekends and constantly call her during the week but would never take their relationship further than making out in his bed. Despite how he was portrayed on the show, some viewers still managed to stay on Team Luke. Just by looking at his Instagram comments, one can see how much fans gush over Luke and his good looks. In a photo from July 1, Luke shared a snap of himself wearing all black in front of a truck while sporting his new haircut. Fans quickly took to his comment section to leave several heart, fire, and heart-eye emojis. Other than that, his fans are surprisingly tame with their Instagram comments.
Despite how Luke has been portrayed on the show, the Summer House fans enjoy looking at him. Besides, Luke was only given the "villain" edit after his relationship with Hannah didn't go anywhere. Nonetheless, Luke will appear on the Summer House spin-off Summer House Winter Charm with some of his fellow castmates and Austen and Craig from Southern Charm. Hopefully, Luke will redeem his character and be seen as more than just a pretty face.
