The pair faced the initial struggle of not speaking the same language, instead relying on a translator app, but that did not stop them from having several heated arguments and uncomfortable encounters on 90 Day Fiancé. Since then, the pair's relationship has been riddled with cheating scandals, restraining orders, and countless breakups. There is no doubt they have one of the most tumultuous relationships from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
Paul and Karine do not post on Instagram as often as other franchise couples, but they have shared how they are doing after at least four public breakups. The pair showed they are still going strong with their two children, as Paul posted a Mother's Day tribute to Karine and his mother. However, they have been slammed by fans of the show for their treatment of the children and were even voted the worst 90 Day Fiancé parents. Fans have also taken to calling Karine out online. One fan comment on one of Paul's Instagram posts, writing, "She’s a user and her family too," as many believe Karine only married Paul to live in the US.
