Jon and Kate Plus 8's Mady Gosselin is no longer a child and is clapping back at critics who have a problem with a photo she posted on her Instagram. The adult made it clear she will post whatever she wants onto her social media profiles and that people need to mind their own business.
Jon and Kate Gosselin were once happily married and starred on the show Jon & Kate Plus 8 with their eight children. The TLC show ran from 2007 to 2017, and fans loved watching the sextuplets grow up right before their eyes as they went to Fourth of July parades and celebrated birthdays. The couple seemed to be overrun with responsibility and exhaustion, which in the end, took a major toll on their marriage. Jon and Kate are parents to twins Cara and Madelyn and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Joel, Leah, Hannah, and Collin. For a while, fans knew the couple was struggling, as their confessionals became strained. They announced their divorce in 2009, which also showed Jon accusing his wife of abuse.
It feels like critics are making a mountain out of a molehill as they lasered in on Mady's Instagram post. Mady wore a green and white checkered jumper as she read a book. In a second photo, she zoomed in on her breast, which alarmed followers. The 20-year-old wrote, "your back beneath the sun." Followers of Mady wrote in their comments that the second artistic picture was a great way to get creeps sneaking into her inbox, and she should be more careful.
The college junior snapped back in a now-deleted comment where she said, “Like exactly what you’re doing with this comment? Everything women do is sexualized, so I’m going to do/post whatever I want." The twin did share that she appreciated her fans looking out for her best interest. Fans who follow the family's saga through Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate Plus 8, and Kate Plus Date all know that Mady has been the rebel of the family and was never one to back down. Mady has been very active on social media, where she openly talks about her day-to-day life and her home life with Kate Gosselin.
Kate has moved her brood from Pennsylvania to North Carolina as of March with not much to say to the public. Jon now has custody of Collin and Hannah, who no longer speak to their mother. As for Mady, even though fans may have watched her grow from a little girl to a full-blown adult on Jon and Kate Plus 8, this doesn't mean she wants fans' opinions when it comes to her life now. She is more than capable of taking care of herself and deciding what content is appropriate for her outlet.
