Yara Zaya might be polarizing on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? but many viewers have agreed that her anxiety as a new mom is fully justified. The Ukrainian beauty has been shown adjusting to her role as mother to Mylah, a position that has been made harder when her husband Jovi Dufren frequently travels for work. While Jovi has been putting pressure on Yara to return to her party girl roots, viewers have defended Yara's reluctance to leave her baby for alone time with Jovi.
Yara has been dealing with a lot of new parent stress on Happily Ever After, as she had to learn to accept help from her mother-in-law Gwen when Jovi is away for work. Back in Louisiana, party boy Jovi has been missing the more fun and spontaneous side of Yara that he originally fell for. While Yara agreed to vacation with her husband in Miami, she ensured that Gwen came along to watch Mylah. Jovi was disappointed to discover that his wife had changed since having a baby, as Yara remained focused on Mylah and even fell asleep in the Uber. This led to Jovi confronting Yara and asking her to give him more attention and focus on their alone time as a couple.
Though Yara has been called out for being bratty, many viewers have defended her new-mom anxiety. One fan took to Reddit to defend Yara in a post titled, "For the childless: Yara is the reality of newborn parenthood." The user called out Jovi for not understanding his wife or caring enough about her. “Yara is serving you the real life experience of having a baby. Post-partum anxiety is real,” the user wrote. They added that Jovi needed to step up and support Yara and Mylah rather than try to make Yara feel guilty about her separation anxiety. Other comments agreed that Jovi was not making the best moves to support his wife. "Dont understand why Jovi didn't book them into the spa for massage/man/pedi/nap. A nice airbnb near the beach not that tiny hotel room," one commenter wrote.

Both Yara and fans have questioned if Jovi was ready to settle down and be a husband and father. Jovi is known for his hard partying ways and love of the strip club and it appears apparent to many that he doesn't want to put his needs aside to prioritize Mylah and his new role as a father. Other new parents voiced that they sympathized with Yara and thought Jovi needed to adjust to his new life. "We are first time parents to a one month old. My husband and I watched the scene with her falling asleep in the car and started laughing. The exhaustion is real," one commenter shared. Others blasted Jovi for his immaturity. "When he was whining & called her boring at the baby boutique, I legit gasped. I probably would’ve hit him. WTAF - is she supposed to be partying it up with a baby at home?!? He’s such an immature Peter Pan," an angry fan wrote.
While Yara is polarizing among audiences due to her materialistic behavior on social media and bratty attitude, many have sided with her when it comes to her parenting. It is clear that Yara is completely devoted to her newborn daughter and is doing everything she can to care for her. While Jovi has been praised for his intellect and holding a high-paying job and demonstrating an impressive work ethic, viewers don't believe he is stepping up and embracing being a father. Many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? audiences find that Jovi is too devoted to his hard-partying past, which could put a massive strain on his relationship with Yara.
