Less than a week before the Big Brother 23 premiere, CBS finally gave fans what they have been asking for: the full cast reveal for the new season. On Thursday, July 1, CBS released photos and bios of all 16 brand-new houseguests. Next week, these strangers will be moving into a house together for the summer as they each compete in hopes of winning the $500,000 grand prize.
Christie Valdiserri is one of these 16 new houseguests for Big Brother 23. Christie is a 27-year-old professional dancer. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christie currently resides in North Hollywood, California. In addition to performing, Christie also teaches dance classes. In her free time, Christie loves traveling and spending time at the beach. Christie has been a vegan for 3.5 years and a pescatarian for 10 years. Hopefully, slop will fit into her diet plan.
In a past interview shared on her Instagram page, Christie Valdiserri explains that she was diagnosed with alopecia when she was 23 years old. She now embraces her bald look, while occasionally throwing on a wig. Christie is also the founder of the Baldtourage, which is an organization that brings together women who have experienced hair loss. In addition to this, Christie is the first bald Sports Illustrated model. As Christie packed her bags for the Big Brother house, she was saddened knowing that she won't be able to be there for this group of women for quite some time. On the other hand, Christie is ready to challenge herself with this new experience. She is also secretly excited to ditch her phone and responsibilities for a little bit.
When reflecting on past Big Brother seasons, Christie revealed in her bio found with CBS that she admired Haleigh Broucher from season 20. While it was definitely not her best game move to call a house meeting to confess to being the hacker, Christie praised Haleigh for her maturity during that situation. She even admitted that she would have most likely been friends with Haleigh had they been in the same season together. As for duos, Christie's all-time favorite duo on the show was Derrick Levasseur and Cody Calafiore from BB16.
As for Christie's strategy this season, she plans on following her gut instinct throughout the entire experience. She wants to learn the personalities of her fellow houseguests in an effort to discover what each player "responds well to." Christie even admitted that she plans to use her hair loss journey to her advantage throughout the game. Her last strategic plan is to be a competition beast, hopefully beating out all of the strong guys in the physical competitions. No matter how hard it may be, Christie plans to never give up, even if she really wants to. She is going into the house with the motto, "When there’s a will, there’s a way babyyyy!"
Big Brother 23 premieres Wednesday, July 7 at 8pm ET on CBS.
