Roguelite Dreamscaper Game Leaving Early Access Sooner Than Expected

Publisher Freedom Games and developer Afterburner Studios originally planned to remove Dreamscaper from Steam Early Access on August 12; now the roguelite will fully launch on August 5. A stunning roguelite action-RPG, Dreamscaper mixes things up by borrowing from other genres such as brawlers, dungeon crawlers, and top-down shooters. Steam users have gotten a taste of all of the above since the title entered Early Access in August 2020. Soon enough, there'll be even more to explore.

Freedom Games has announced plans to rollout Dreamscaper earlier than scheduled. Thus, instead of the roguelite exiting Early Access on August 12, it will now release in full for Steam and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, August 5 for $24.99. Once Version 1.0 arrives on its revised due date, players will receive all of the Steam Early Access content in addition to a new "nightmarish biome," additional narrative content, and two extra bosses - Regret and Resentment. Check out Dreamscaper's latest trailer in the following video:

In Dreamscaper, players assume the role of Cassidy, a woman who wrestles with her inner demons in dreams that haunt her subconscious mind. Cassidy's nightmares take her to dungeons where the most horrid of creatures reside whenever she falls asleep at night. As such, in an attempt to discover the source of the terror, the young woman fights back against her foes with psychic powers and weapons of great power.
