But fans believe Robyn cries an excessive amount. Due to Robyn's manipulative use of her tears, here's why the audiences' nickname Sobbin Robyn is a perfect match for the Sister Wives star.
Over the 15 seasons of Sister Wives, viewers have witnessed some indefensible behavior between Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn. Kody's relationship with his latest wife, Robyn, is the best of the bunch, as fans agree she is his favorite. Although Robyn is treated the best of the four sister wives, she is not immune from conflict on the family's reality show. Time and time again, Robyn has argued with her fellow wives and even with her husband as the unconventional quartet of marriages has resulted in some messy dynamics. More than any of her fellow sister wives, Robyn is known for coming out of the low points in her relationship with Kody in tears. Although crying is typically embraced with sympathy, Sister Wives audiences have had the opposite response to Robyn's sobs.
Instead of feeling compassion for Robyn when she cries, Sister Wives fans have grown resentful toward the reality star's tears. Robyn is known to cry more than her fellow sister wives, and viewers have mockingly nicknamed the polygamist wife Sobbin Robyn. While some may find this callous, the fanbase is adamant in their title for Robyn. On and off of the show, Robyn has made a pattern of displaying her waterworks. From onscreen during the Sister Wives season 15 premiere to behind the scenes at an interview, Robyn has earned the title of the master crier. While the reality star's tears might be authentic, they have culminated in Robyn receiving criticism from fans. The main reason why audiences refer to Kody's fourth wife as Sobbin Robyn is because they believe Robyn uses her tears to manipulate her spouses.
Fans on Reddit claimed Robyn uses her tears as a means of persuasion. Due to the extensive amount of times Robyn has sobbed on and off-screen, viewers don't think her tears are authentic. One Reddit user commented, "Robyn needs so much attention, and plays the Sobbin’ Victim card often." According to All About The Tea, Sister Wives audiences on Twitter have also shared their distaste for Robyn's waterworks. One fan tweeted, "Robyn the Debbie Downer, the eye roller when she doesn't get her way, the pouter, the cry baby is really getting on my nerves!" Another anti-Robyn user tweeted their impression of Robyn as, "We haven't talked about me in 4 seconds I'm gonna cry now." Robyn's true feelings are being questioned by fans who think all of her sobbing is a manipulation tactic.
On top of being resented for crying at the drop of a dime, fans don't like Robyn because they think her incessant waterworks have an ulterior motive. While Robyn's agenda is up for debate, no one can deny that the sister wife is prone to crying. Whether Robyn is just an extraordinarily sensitive soul, or she is attempting to use her tears to gain sympathy from Sister Wives viewers, fans are not likely to be a shoulder for Sobbin Robyn to cry on.
